The 12 best summer perfumes of 2025
I love to buy a new perfume every summer. Not because I am tired of my current scent, Eau des Sens by Diptyque, but I can’t really smell it anymore, and a perfume immediately puts me in a summery mood every day. Bonus point: when I smell this scent again later, I am instantly transported back to the summer of 2025. Just like Harry Styles immediately reminds me of that road trip through Sicily and the playlist that Barbie catapults me to Zakynthos. For this summer, these are our favorites.
Salty freshness with Sel Marin by Heeley
I once asked Remco, the scent expert from Skins Cosmetics, what his favorite summer perfume is and he immediately mentioned Sel Marin because it almost captures the sea in a perfume. I then sold it to my father right away, he used to be a captain, and he also fell in love instantly. The bottle with the anchor on the label is already a piece of jewelry for your bathroom.
Ibiza vibes with Paula’s Ibiza by Loewe
Last year I was in Brussels for the viewing of the documentary about Diane von Fürstenberg and there I met Carolien Spoor, who was there with a friend. I found her a wonderful woman in every way – successful producer, honest, strong, and smart – but especially: she smelled so good that she was not too shy to share the name of her perfume: Paula’s Ibiza by Loewe.
Vacation in a bottle: Swimming Pool by BIBBI
Our super nanny Stella is a sun worshipper and a vacation fanatic. She can look forward to her annual three weeks in Greece for months and she does everything, everything, everything to start that vacation feeling early and stretch it out for a long time. Last year I gave her Swimming Pool by BIBBI (available at Skins) for her birthday and that was a hit.
Nuxe: summer oil and perfume in one
Nuxe is definitely your best friend in the summer. The oil gives your legs and arms the most beautiful shine, but the scent is also so nice that a perfume had to come from it. And it did.
Budget favorite: Monoï by Yves Rocher
That a lovely scent doesn’t have to be expensive is proven by Monoï by Yves Rocher. Lysanne has the whole line, I started cautiously with the shimmering bronzing oil but am now addicted.
Iconic summer perfume: Bronze Goddess by Estée Lauder
I have heard that Sylvie Meis always wears this perfume and I can totally picture it. Sun-kissed body, a petite Missoni bikini, beautiful wedges, and a Hermès scarf around her head. And then that scent – it fits perfectly. By the way, did you know that Chantal Janzen always wears Sun by Jil Sander? Always.
Tropical and affordable: Zara Solar Mango Exotic Maracujá
They smell as they sound and they are from Zara, so affordable.
Sunny elegance Lancaster, Le Parfum Solaire Eau de Toilette
A bit of the same story as with Nuxe. The product smelled so good that people wanted more: a perfume, so it came. I love everything from Lancaster – the heritage, the design, the laboratory – and I really love this perfume too.

Juliette Has a Gun x Skins
A collaboration between Skins and Romano Ricci. A fresh, woody perfume that combines lychee, ginger, akigalawood, papyrus, and roasted tonka bean. It is a limited edition, so be quick and make everyone jealous.
Vanilla Powder by Matière Première
I once bought Parisian Musk from this brand because I was sold just by the name. However, it didn’t smell so nice on my skin, so I gave it to Daniëlle. And every day when I see Daan, I compliment her on her scent. And then she says a bit sheepishly: “That’s your perfume, May.” But I enjoy it a bit too. Claire Korthaus, one of the PR gurus from Skins, always has access to everything and she wears Vanilla Powder by Matière Première.
Orange & Jasmin and Black Pepper by Zielinski & Rozen
Daniëlle’s husband works at Zielinski & Rozen and he spoils us with the most delicious things. Today he brought a beautiful hand soap and hand lotion and a scented diffuser in the scent Moss. But what we are also completely in love with for this summer is their Black Pepper, Orange & Jasmin and Rosemary & Lemon.
