25,000 people were on the waiting list when one of the largest skincare brands, The Ordinary, launched a Serum Foundation in 2017. But in 2022, to everyone's surprise, it suddenly became unavailable. And because The Ordinary has a large community that is not afraid to voice their opinions, the big question of the century was: where is the serum foundation? The brand, it wouldn't be the brand if they didn't listen, and on February 21, they are launching not 10, not 20, but 36 different shades, so that everyone can shop the foundation. One downside to this great news: it is available as a limited edition and will not be permanently added to the collection. Unfortunately.

If you love a no-makeup makeup look, then this real foundation is for you. It has a very light texture, as it is water-based and contains pigments that subtly even out your skin tone. It is not meant to hide everything, as the brand believes that skin is unique and should be seen in whatever state it is in. It is almost incomparable to any other foundation you can already buy on the market, and especially not for the price: namely eight (!) euros. I repeat: €8,-.

How do you know which color to choose?

Yellow (Y) – A warm undertone, often visible with a golden or peach-colored skin tone
Pink (P) – A cool undertone, often visible with a lighter skin that doesn't tan easily
Red (R) – A warmer undertone that is often found in a more pigmented skin
Neutral (N) – No clear undertone, with a balance between warm and cool
You can easily do this by looking at the veins on your forearm (green for yellow, blue for pink)
