City Trips

People are nicest in these 3 cities

And no, we are not there

By

When I was in London last week I noticed again how friendly everyone is there. Taxi drivers, customs officers; they all ended their sentences with 'ma'am' or even better: 'My love'. Bitter people among us immediately say: they don't really mean it. I actually don't care, it just sounds nice and brightens up your day. Funny enough, the top 3 is dominated by British Commonwealth countries. That can't be a coincidence. was, viel het me weer op hoe vriendelijk iedereen daar is.

At 3: Quebec in Canada
Quebec City is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Canada where you find all kinds of historic streets. They speak French there, but also English. You have all these alleys with small cobblestones and the coziest cafes.

At 2: Dublin in Ireland
In every corner, there is a cozy cafe where locals and tourists sit side by side. Everyone takes the time for you, is friendly, and seems to live life just a bit more slowly than we do.

At 1: Victoria in Canada
Victoria is also known as the most British city in England. Think of afternoon teas in beautiful hotels, many museums, green parks, a stunning environment, and it's close to Vancouver. Here too, the nicest people live.

Interestingly, number 4 on this list is Edinburgh in Scotland and 5 Sydney in Australia. All Commonwealth countries, quite funny.
