These are the 7 types of narcissists that exist

Narcissism comes in many types, forms, and degrees, let that be clear. Not everyone is, for example, extremely selfish: you can also be quite social, but here and there place a bit more importance on your own happiness.
According to experts, there are 7 types of narcissists. And you better recognize them all well: the chance is quite large that you have someone in your environment who suffers from this.
- The narcissistic winner: these people see everything as a competition and strive to be the best at everything, even in situations that are not a contest. The success of others is seen as a personal defeat.
- The narcissistic victim: this type manipulates situations to come across as a victim and rarely takes responsibility for their own actions. They are self-pitying, boohoo. They expect others to solve their problems and feel offended quickly if this does not happen. They need to be the center of attention in the conversation because oh, what terrible things they have experienced again...
- The ‘I know better’ narcissist: this person is convinced of their own superiority and presents opinions as facts. They give unsolicited advice and cannot handle contradiction. This is how it is, and no, not otherwise. They are actually the hardest to have conversations with.
- The narcissistic puppeteer: this type tries to manipulate others to shape situations to their liking. They exploit the weaknesses of others and use them to achieve their goals: especially at work, this is unpleasant to have around.
- The narcissistic opponent: this person sees everyone around them as enemies and displays angry behavior, such as shouting in traffic or being rude to staff. This behavior gives them a sense of control, they come across as tough and strong, but it often leads to few social relationships. They are secretly quite lonely and do not have many close friendships.
- The status narcissist: for this person, money, power, and social status are of utmost importance. They have little self-reflection and constantly strive for external recognition and prestige. In every conversation, it’s always about their new job title or the new car they are going on a trip with... As long as it revolves around their fantastic possessions and wealth.
- The royal narcissist: this type believes they are entitled to special treatment without having to earn it, they are simply worth more than the rest, so to speak. They expect that rules do not apply to them and react indignantly when corrected. Aren't they above everyone else?
No, not very pleasant at all. Do you recognize glimpses of narcissism? Your mother, father, or your girlfriend, or your sister. The complicated part is that narcissism is a disorder that occurs so often and in so many ways, that it could also be that someone has multiple types at once. So it’s possible that you recognize more signals in one person. But these seven forms occur most frequently and are good to remember: so don’t let yourself be driven crazy. Because it really isn’t always your fault.
