This is how to pimp up a boring blouse and all you need is a safety pin.

You probably have a blouse in your closet that you no longer wear and would rather throw in the trash. What if I told you that you can completely revamp an old blouse to fit the current trend? It's all the rage to wear a blouse with a tailored fit and a wide, puffed bottom. You could go buy a whole new blouse, but how handy and fun is it that you can do this yourself? pimp? And all you need is a safety pin or two. So quickly grab these from grandma's drawer and I would say: try these methods out.

How to style?

For the first style, thread the safety pin through the middle buttonhole of your blouse. Then, push it through the side of your blouse and close the pin. Your waist will be mega accentuated – so you’re right on trend, and you instantly have a brand new blouse. How cool is that? Even cooler is to attach a bow in the same color as the blouse to the safety pin. Although bows are a tad 2024 this is mega original and cute.

Next, you can also try fastening your blouse at the back. Put on your blouse and see how tight you want it to fit. Then lay the blouse flat on the ground and fold the fabric at the back in the middle of the blouse. Thread the safety pin through and voilà. By leaving the bottom buttons of your blouse undone, you make the look extra cool.

For the next one, you need two safety pins and this is personally my favorite, so pay close attention. Put on your blouse and crumple the fabric on the right side of your waist, then thread a safety pin through these folds. Repeat this on the left side of your waist, making sure it’s not too tight.

Even cooler

Do you think this simple trend deserves just a little more love and attention? By using beautiful brooches instead of safety pins, you give the trend that little bit glamour that it deserves. Ralph Lauren sells beautiful brooches with pearls, hearts, and stones on them, but if you want something more affordable, you can also find beautiful brooches or pimped pins on Bol.com to make your look completely chic.
