All the benefits of a silk pillowcase

Taking care of my hair sometimes lies in the details, such as drying it with a special microfiber hair towel and not with the same heavy cotton towel that I use to dry my body. I have also been looking for a hundred percent silk pillowcase: not only good for my hair, but also for my skin, so worth the investment. There are even studies that have investigated this and concluded that such a soft specimen indeed keeps your face a bit more wrinkle-free and thus leads to fewer fine lines in the long term. Now I only found out that a lot of pillowcases have the name, but when you look at the details, you often see that they consist of only a certain percentage of real silk and the remaining percentage of other material. So pay close attention to this when shopping for such a lovely specimen. The material is not cheap, so if you find one under thirty euros, you should ask yourself if this is correct. There are still some things we need to pay attention to, because with silk you also need to look at the silk density and the weight, also known as ‘momme’. The higher the number, the better the quality and the more durable, and that’s what we want. Once this is not mentioned, there is a good chance that this is also one of those specimens that looks soft but actually consists of other material. One more tip: check if the pillowcase is made of the finest fabric on both sides, because it sometimes happens that the other side is just cotton. So as soon as you see 100 percent mulberry silk on both sides, you’re good to go. Perfect gift for the holidays, right? I have it high on my list.
