Even the pause button on Yellowstone and time for something new: an exciting Dutch drama series. Elixer is about a very influential family that became rich in the international pharmaceutical industry. When the father of the family, the big boss of the company, has an accident, the daughter (Hanna Verboom) takes charge. She discovers that her father and brother (Jacob Derwig) paid no attention to the side effects that their medicine brings.

Moral dilemma

The moral dilemma that arises is confronting: does she go for her conscience or does she primarily protect her own family?

This eight-part series has a great cast, featuring Hanna Verboom, Jacob Derwig, Wim Opbrouck, Katelijne Damen, and Walid Benmbarek. The direction is in the hands of Dana Nechushtan, known for the great series Hollands Hoop. If you haven't seen that yet, I definitely recommend it as well.
