Love is in the air: these celebs fell in love on set
and are still together now

Can falling a little in love with your colleague actually be bad? Well, if you're recording a romantic movie or series together and then have to look at each other for hours, act out scenes together, and maybe even kiss each other multiple times a day, that can of course have consequences. And with these celebs, it even turned into a real relationship on set.
Because how nice is it when the romance you see on your screen turns out to be real behind the scenes? From Spider-Man to Game of Thrones: these famous couples fell in love while working and are still together today.

Zendaya and Tom Holland
Okay, I can't help but start with these two. IT couple Zendaya and Tom Holland met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. She played MJ, he of course played Peter Parker. And yes, the chemistry you saw on screen later grew into something real.
Social media has been buzzing about Tom and Zendaya in recent years. On TikTok, it's often said that these two have ‘no swag gap’. Tom and Zendaya kept their relationship quite private for a long time, but now they can be seen together at almost every event. In 2026, it was confirmed that Zendaya and Tom Holland are now married. From colleagues to lovers to husband and wife. Who would have thought that when they started working on that first Spider-Man movie?
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
Another set romance that eventually became quite serious: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. The two starred together in Green Lantern and got to know each other better there. However, it wasn't immediately romantic at first. They were both dating someone else at the time and first became good friends.
But as we know, Hollywood doesn't handle that very well. Eventually, the friendship turned into love and Blake and Ryan married in 2012. They now have four children together and are still together.
And perhaps their relationship is one of the most fun and well-known in Hollywood because they regularly make fun of each other on social media. Romantic, sometimes not taking each other too seriously. My kind of relationship.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are perhaps the opposite of Zendaya and Tom Holland. While those two frequently appear together on red carpets, Ryan and Eva prefer to keep their relationship private.
The two met during the filming of The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011. The spark flew and they have been together for more than fifteen years now. They have two daughters and mostly keep their family life out of the spotlight.
In fact, in 2026 they made a public appearance together after more than ten years when Ryan surprised Eva during The Tonight Show for her birthday. I think that's so cute. No hundred joint red carpets, no daily Instagram updates, just living their own lives. This way, they keep their private and work lives sufficiently separate.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie
Game of Thrones fans already know this, but Jon Snow and Ygritte didn't just fall in love on screen. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie met during the filming of Game of Thrones, where they played the lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte. Their relationship developed slowly and remained quite private at first. Eventually, they made their romance official and married in 2018.
And now they have a family together. So yes: the line “You know nothing, Jon Snow” has probably been said by Rose to her husband a hundred times by now. And for real.

Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys
This is a slightly less obvious Hollywood love. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys starred together in The Americans, where they play a married couple. However, it wasn't just acting for them. This couple fell in love off set and have been together for many years now. They have a son together and appeared together on the red carpet during the Emmy Awards in 2026.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.
And then there's a couple that makes everyone a little nostalgic: Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. These two met in 1997 during the filming of I Know What You Did Last Summer. However, they weren't a couple at that time. In fact, they first became friends and only started dating a few years later. They married in 2002 and have been married for more than twenty years now. They have two children together and still occasionally work together.
So if you ever think that a relationship that starts on a film set can never last long: Sarah and Freddie are quite convincing proof to the contrary.

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz
‘James Bond’ Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz found love while acting. They had known each other for years but came together again on the set of Dream House in 2011. There they played a married couple, and apparently that storyline was just a bit too convincing for them. That same year, they secretly married in New York. They have been married for fifteen years now and have a daughter together.
At least not unsuccessful
When you see this list, a film set almost suspiciously resembles a dating app. You work intensively with the same people for weeks or months, create something that you both invest a lot of time and energy into, and often have a pretty convincing romantic storyline in the meantime.
