Today is Prinsjesdag and that means a lot for the upcoming government year, but for us fashion people, it mainly means looking at hats, having opinions about them, and admiring the looks of our queen and the princesses. While watching, I want to share two things: one, how beautiful was Amalia today, and two, did you know that you can buy the dress of Alexia on sale?
Alexia wore a satin, midi-length asymmetrical dress by Reiss and it is now, okay in a different color, available for 127 euros. You definitely want to have that right away. So run, run, run. What am I saying: fly!
What did Alexia wear on Prinsjesdag 2026?
Alexia chose a beautiful blue-green dress from Reiss. Not coincidentally, by the way, because during her last summer photoshoot, she already wore a dress from the same brand. She also dived into her mother's wardrobe and borrowed a burgundy hat from Fabienne Delvigne, along with a matching bag from COS.
What did Amalia wear on Prinsjesdag 2026?
Amalia surprised us again with something new: an olive green dress by Rachel Gilbert with a cape sleeve, combined with a golden headband. By the way, those same dresses by Rachel Gilbert were recently seen on RAYE and Olivia Dean, so our crown princess is doing great in terms of label choice.
And that clutch she carried? Saint Laurent. Subtle, but exactly the kind of statement accessory that elevates her look to another level.
What did Queen Máxima wear on Prinsjesdag 2026?
Máxima kept it relatively understated: a white silk gala dress that she has worn before, combined with a black blouse. No hat this year, but a special hair decoration that we saw earlier during her state visit to Poland.

Was Princess Ariane also present on Prinsjesdag 2026?
Yes, she was definitely there. In fact, she and Alexia arrived together in the Gala carriage, with Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien.
By the way, they both borrowed something from their mother's closet: Ariane wore the dress that Máxima wore on Prinsjesdag in 2019, including the headpiece that Máxima wore earlier during state visits in 2017. Family that shops together, stays shining together.
