This is Dua Lipa's favorite place in Amsterdam for a romantic date night

By Alyssa Pais
In collaboration with Google Maps and her own lifestyle platform Service95 Dua Lipa has compiled twelve travel guides featuring over 130 of her favorite shops, restaurants, and clubs around the world. Service95 was founded by Dua in 2021 as a weekly newsletter, website, and podcast described as a “global style, culture, and society concierge service.” With this collaboration, Google Maps aims to reposition itself not only as a navigation platform but also as a source of inspiration. The interesting thing about the list is that Dua consciously opts for intimate local restaurants and hidden gems instead of more luxurious hotspots. And as a true restaurant and wine connoisseur, she is the perfect taste barometer. I have already added her tips to my list, and who knows, you might dine next to the singer in the heart of Amsterdam. The lists can be saved directly in Google Maps. And especially for the collaboration, the famous yellow Google Street View mascot Pegman received a temporary makeover. When viewing the singer's favorite destinations, you might encounter the ‘Levitating Pegman’, her own avatar, of course a reference to her song ‘Levitating’.
From restaurants to music clubs: here are her Date Nights To Remember:
De Willem in Amsterdam
The restaurant at Haarlemmerplein tops Dua’s list. “The small dishes, the perfect light at sunset, the cozy atmosphere – the place offers you choices instead of determining the atmosphere for you,” writes the singer. The café opened at the end of 2022 and the restaurant opened at the end of 2023 in the monumental Haarlemmerpoort, officially called Willemspoort. Chef Jef van den Hout is the owner and chef of De Willem. He previously worked at well-known Amsterdam restaurants such as Bord’Eau and Le Restaurant. The dishes on the menu are primarily French, with international and Asian influences.

Gresca in Barcelona
Gresca was featured in the 2026 Michelin Guide Spain and was founded by chef Rafa Peña. The restaurant serves seasonal dishes. “Natural wines and modern Catalan dishes, prepared in a way that feels effortless. An extensive dinner, delicious wine: this restaurant could very well restore your faith in tasting menus.”

Preservation Hall in New Orleans
In the heart of the French quarter lies this jazz club where concerts are held 360 nights a year. “Preservation Hall is the beating heart of New Orleans jazz. It’s small, it’s loud, and the musicians are extraordinary. There are no seats, no drinks, just pure live music in a space that has been doing this since 1961. You won’t be able to stand still for a moment.”

Kingston Dub Club in Kingston
The open-air reggae and dub club in Jamaica was founded in 2011, and access was initially by invitation only, now anyone can buy a ticket. “The Kingston Dub Club is a unique experience. Every Sunday evening it takes place outdoors on a hill, where old-school reggae and dub are played through a professional sound system, with all of Kingston beneath you.”

Dal Bolognese in Milan
This restaurant is located in the beautiful courtyard of the historic Palazzo Recalcati. “Dal Bolognese in Milan is the place to go if you want to feel Italian for an evening. The tagliatelle al ragu is the very best version of that dish I have ever eaten. No wonder it’s a classic.”

Nancy’s Hustle in Houston
This hotspot in East Downtown Houston is all about modern American cuisine. “Nancy’s Hustle in Houston surprised me. The wine list is one of the best I’ve encountered in America and the food is just as good. It’s a date-night restaurant in the purest form: a place where the other immediately notices that you’ve really made an effort to choose something special.”

Corral de la Morería in Madrid
Opened in 1956, the flamenco theater is now one of the oldest still in operation. “Corral De La Moreria is one of the most iconic flamenco tablaos in Madrid and it has never disappointed me. You eat, you drink, and then the show begins and everything stands still for a moment. The dancers are extraordinary.”

Cam’s Kiosk in Melbourne
In a former monastery is this café and restaurant, where DJs regularly play and live art performances take place. “Cam’s Kiosk is a really cozy restaurant and I think that’s more important than you might think. It’s relaxed and the food is fantastic. One of my favorite dining experiences in Australia.”

The Dreamery in London
Among all the restaurants, she also included an ice cream parlor on the list, where they serve ice cream in those retro silver cups. “The Dreamery is a small, psychedelic gem, tucked away in De Beauvoir. It’s the kind of place where the radiant murals on the ceiling and the flowing lines of stainless steel do half the work for you. From the artisanal ice cream to the natural wines, everything has been thought through, but nothing feels forced – the ultimate ‘if you know you know’ place for a date.”

Sala de Despiece in Madrid
A creative restaurant in Madrid with an industrial look, focused on ingredients. It’s all about the meat, fish, or vegetables themselves. “Sala de Despiece in Madrid is different from any other place I’ve been. You stand at the bar, point to what you want, and within seconds it’s in front of you. The quality is exceptional and there’s something about that concept that makes the whole evening feel livelier.”
Bistrot Des Tournelles in Paris
A typical French bistro located in the 12th arrondissement, near the Bastille. “You can’t beat a romantic candlelit dinner, and if you want to do it right, then Bistrot des Tournelles in Paris is the perfect place. Soft, sexy, and very classic. And a fantastic wine list.”

According to the singer, she has been making lists of recommendations in the field of food and travel for her friends for years, and now she is sharing them with Google Maps users. I’m definitely going to make a reservation at De Willem.
