Yes: award season has started again. We actually do so as always with the Golden Globes. Didn't you pull an all-nighter to watch the entire broadcast? If so, you're probably inundated with the very best moments. And honestly? Almost all of these come from Nikki Glaser, the evening's presenter. After all, she really didn't shy away from putting every celeb in their place. Whether you're talking about yet another Leonardo DiCaprio fiasco or the stars caught up in the Epstein Files: this girl really does say it all. But who is she anyway? Who is Nikki Glaser?
Honestly? I did not know Nikki Glaser at all. This 41-year-old comedienne, actress, writer and producer has been building her way as a stand-up comedian for ages. She has been doing so for 20 years with her sold-out club tours and podcasts. She likes to make fun of famous people, but she is no slouch herself, mind you. Nikki has been nominated many times for an Emmy, Grammy and Golden Globe. So yes: she deserves this spotlight.

Before she climbed the stage with her pranks, Nikki was a nanny. And not for ‘ordinary’ rich people, but for stars. For instance, she was Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann's nanny for a few months. But Nikki knew there was more to her than that. Not wanting to be known as ‘the nanny’, she decided to try her hand as a comedienne anyway. And yes, as you can see, she succeeded well. When she is not at the Golden Globes, she stars in films (such as The Fifth Wheel, in which she stars with Kim Kardashian and Brenda Song) and is snared as both producer and star in her own comedy specials.

1. Leonardo Dicaprio
Well, this actor is never safe from Nikki. She had to put him in the limelight again. Besides wearing man buns, she couldn't help but mention his impressive long career. And especially that he was able to accomplish all those feats in the time before his girlfriend turned 30. (Because yes: those who don't know - he never dates women over 30. Shocking.)
She later apologised for the joke, though she had a good reason: “We don't know anything else about you. Really, get more open. I searched and searched! The interview that provided the most depth was a 1991 Teen Beat magazine that said pasta is your favourite food. Do you still only eat pasta?”

2. The Epstein drama
Nikki could not resist naming that many stars have been linked to Epstein. Now that the ‘Epstein Files’, with evidence about all the incidents, have been made public, large parts have been redacted and blacklisted. She stressed that, “There are so many A-listers here. And by A-listers I mean people who are on a list that has been edited lol.” She added jokingly, “The best award for editing goes to the OM.”

3. CBS gets off on it
If news channel CBS is known for anything, it is now that they make a lot of pro-Trump news. “The award for most editing goes to CBS,” laughed Nikki. “CBS News: America's newest spot for BS (bullshit) news.”
So Nikki is certainly not afraid to say what everyone thinks. Besides producing pro-Trump content, they would also censor. For example, a documentary about illegal practices and the ill-treatment of innocent people in a prison in El Salvador was not aired on the US channel purely because it criticises Trump and his actions.
3. Flirting with Michael B Jordan
OK, no one can blame her, but this joke about Michael B. Jordan was still pretty... out there. She praised him to the skies because of his role in Sinners. Here, Michael played twins - and therefore two roles. Nikki was clearly impressed by that. She didn't mind getting a double dose of this handsome man: “I couldn't believe we just got two Michael B. Jordans in one film. When I saw that, I really thought: Nikki B. Jerking.” For those whose English is not their strong point: freely translated, this is where she says she is jerking off. In other words: masturbating. Funniest of all? Michael's mother was sitting next to him. So that joke hit just a little harder.

4. Timothée Chalamet's muscle mass
This time it's not about his relationship with Kylie Jenner or his complicated Dune films, but about his workout routine. “Many people may not know this, but Timothée Chalamet is the first actor in all of history to have to build up a larger muscle mass for a film about ping-pong. Yes, seriously.”

4. Nikki's flashmob
What comedy show is complete without a song? Nikki thought so too, as she suddenly jumped into a flash mob. She sang the song Golden from the film K-Pop Demon Hunters. It was not a karaoke session, but a parody between this song and the ping-pong movie Marty Supreme. Although Nikki ‘wasn't asked to sing’, she still went after her dream, just as Marty did.
There were some more jokes in the song, including one about Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop. At the moment of her ‘big chorus’, she was suddenly interrupted by Fran Drescher. Yes, the one from The Nanny. She had to stop Nikki because everyone finds her singing voice ‘so irritating’. That's too funny, isn't it?

5. Sean Penn
If Sean Penn is known for anything, it is his wild past. During these Golden Globes, a photo even went viral showing him sitting at the table smoking a cigarette. Yeah, wow - and Nikki was only too happy to play on that: “A lot of actors say they're going to do a lot, but Sean Penn really goes to places where they need a lot of help. And he's going to do cocaine there. We really don't celebrate that enough.”
If this hilarious girl can do one thing well, it is make a joke. This is definitely not going to be the last time we hear her make a fantastic joke with her big mouth. Trust me.
