Omg: there will be a Harry Potter hotel in this European country
Are you still looking for the perfect outing for your Harry Potter-obsessed friend? Then I have something fun for you. Grab your robe, pack your suitcase, and book a flight, because soon you can spend the night in the magical world. And no, not in Orlando, Tokyo, or London, but just with our neighbors in Germany. The LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort in Günzburg, Bavaria is opening the very first Harry Potter-park area where you can sleep in a hotel.
What will the Harry Potter hotel look like?
This will not be an amusement park where you can go on a few rides and then head home with a Butterbeer. In this immersive experience, you can actually spend the night. Whether you sleep in a separate hotel building or if the existing park will be expanded, we don't know for sure yet, but we do know it will be fantastically beautiful. Because yes: those concepts have already been thought of. According to LEGOLAND, you will walk through beautiful corridors and sleep in themed rooms that feel just like you are in Hogwarts.
The rooms are designed around those four famous Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. And I'm not talking about a simple room with a colored duvet cover. Every decoration and detail has been considered. Think of rooms filled with references to famous scenes and objects from the books and movies. The common areas will also radiate the same ‘magic’.

What else can you expect from the Harry Potter park?
As if sleeping in Hogwarts isn't enough, there are also whispers about extra experiences around the hotel. Think of interactive elements, photo spots, and small magical surprises that give your stay that little extra. No roller coasters like Universal, but rather stories, details, and atmosphere that make you feel like you are part of the Wizarding World, but with a LEGO twist. Because that is exactly what is different from the Universal parks.
There is only one thing different from the Universal parks: everything is completely built from LEGO. Now I don't think you will be sleeping on a bed made of plastic bricks, but the details? They will definitely consist of blocks. And yes, especially a lot of brown. That makes this experience so unique. It is not a Wizarding World copycat, but a completely original interpretation.
Where is it exactly and when can you go there?
The new LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort is coming to Günzburg, Bavaria. This is a convenient location, as it is reachable within five hours by car or train from major German cities. This is super fun during a getaway to Germany. And yes: this hotel is part of a larger expansion of the park, namely the Harry Potter world.
So you really don't have to go to Florida to have a Harry Potter-experience. Say goodbye to expensive plane tickets and look forward to this European trip. Although this is not a Universal park, it is indeed a collaboration between Merlin Entertainments and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, so this is nothing fake. It is just the real deal.
