A weekend away, but without the hassle of the airport. No more doubt at security: “Do I need to take off my belt? Laptop out of the bag or not?”, just step in and go. There are those deals that just pop up and you think: ‘Okay, this is definitely one to remember’. This is one of them.

Taking the train into the city without stress

Every ten minutes, somewhere an item is sold with the quote ‘Life is a journey, not a destination’ on it. Not really, of course, but this incredible cliché does have a kernel of truth. Looking forward to a trip is at least half the fun. Especially when that trip starts in a train seat, while the horizon keeps changing. Earbuds in, staring a bit ahead, maybe a book with you and losing yourself in thoughts. Before you know it, a voice comes through the speakers announcing that it's time. Despite the journey, there's nothing wrong with the destination. Whether you're traveling to Berlin, Hamburg or Bremen (cities that may have already been on your list, or just discovered thanks to a good train deal): you can go anywhere. From art and culture to endless dining and wandering through dozens of neighborhoods. That traveling by train is one of the most sustainable ways is a nice bonus.

Choose your city, the rest will follow naturally

What’s also nice about the HEMA deal is that you can make it as extensive as you want. Just a round trip and figure out the rest for less than €50, or arrange everything in one go with a hotel and breakfast included. Especially the latter is relaxing if you don't feel like endlessly searching for something central that is also a bit good for your wallet. You can already go for €159 for three days or €239 for four. You immediately notice the saved euros during drinks or a shopping session in the city. The spontaneous city trip is already so tempting, and this doesn't make it any better.

Anyone who wants to go shouldn't be too spontaneous by nature: you score your voucher until April 12, 2026, and redeem it by June 1, 2026, at the latest. You depart from Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Deventer, or Hengelo.

Back to that first stressful thought about the airport, including slight chills. Exactly that feeling lingers with these train tickets in hand. No hassle beforehand, not on the way, and certainly not at the destination. Just step in and roll into the city relaxed. And remember: ‘Life is a journey, not a destination’.
