IKEA launches a limited art collection and these are the items you want to have
Good news for everyone who thinks that art at home doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg: IKEA comes with a new limited art collection.
I always get a slight panicky feeling from the words limited collection and IKEA in one sentence, because we all know how that can go. You think: nice, I'll look at that later, and suddenly that one item everyone fell in love with is nowhere to be found. So here it is: put KONSTRUNDA on your radar.
IKEA's new art collection is created together with seven international designers and artists. Think of sculptural vases, striking cushion covers, a graphic mirror, a wall tapestry, a rug, and objects that hang right between art and interior. And the best part: prices start at €17.99.
KONSTRUNDA will be available from September in all IKEA stores and online. And yes, there are a few items that will make your interior immediately feel like a curator has been over.

Emanuele Stamuli designed vases with strong silhouettes in black and white. These are the kind of items that look good even when empty, which is always the ultimate test for vases. Just put one single branch in and you're done.
2. The hanging wall tapestry, €69
Akanksha Deo worked with Indian textile history and artisanal techniques for her designs. This makes the wall tapestry feel warmer and softer than a standard print on the wall. Ideal above a bed, in a hallway, or on that one bare wall you've been staring at for months.

A mirror is practical, but this one is especially fun. The graphic print makes it more of an art object than just something to check if your mascara is still where it should be. Beautiful in the bedroom, but also very good in a narrow hallway.
