This is what you want this weekend, bet?
For my work, I often have presentations, openings, or other festive events for which we are invited in the hope that we can write about them, if possible in a glowing tone. Of course, it is often fun, but that it becomes an all-encompassing sensation, that doesn't happen every week. Last Tuesday, at PC Hooftstraat number 7 in Amsterdam, was such a moment. Lancôme had its Skin Science Club in a space that felt like it catapulted you straight to New York, and that place had a magnetic effect on everyone who mattered in the fashion and beauty world.
Subtle shades and minimalist chic
It was sizzling and crackling, Amsterdam was warm and welcoming and wrapped in subtle shades. The dress code was minimalist chic, fully in sync with Lancôme's new product line, the Absolue Longevity MD Intercept. All beauty-loving Netherlands came to Lancôme's pop-up, because paradise awaited there.
Skin analysis: choose your biological age
The start was an analysis of your skin, measuring any sun damage, wrinkles, and other imperfections, and where you learned whether the age of your skin matched your calendar age. All mindful of what if you could choose your age? Because you can manipulate and rewind the age of your skin, unlike your passport age. Based on that skin analysis, you gained insight into what you need. Leave it to the scientists at Lancôme to tell you where you need to be for your skin needs.
Beauty bars and scientific insights
There were various beauty bars where explanations were given about the different skincare lines and small scientific tests demonstrated why Lancôme's ingredients really work. Furthermore, there was a space where you could undergo a 15-minute beauty treatment, and everything was thought of, there was also a makeup area where you could get a touch-up after that treatment.
The holy of holies: Absolue Longevity MD
The holy of holies for me was the Absolue Longevity MD space, both in terms of design and content. Here you were informed about this new flagship product from Lancôme, which I have now become quite fond of. Bars, juices, and Lancôme look
What was finally delightful was the bar where three nourishing juices were served in Lancôme layout and cans of water in Lancôme look and feel. There was also a bar where you could get samples of all products for free and purchase the products that were recommended to you.
