Everything about the muse of Olivia Rodrigo's new album: who is Louis Partridge?

By

After three years of waiting, we finally have a new Olivia Rodrigo album and behind almost every song lies a mysterious him. The title you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love actually says enough, but wow, what has he made her feel. Both positively, as we hear in drop dead, and negatively, as we hear on the rest of the album. But which ’pretty boy’ is Olivia singing about exactly? All arrows point to actor Louis Partridge. And of course, we want to know everything about the British heartthrob.

The pretty boy in question

Louis Patrick James Partridge was born on June 3, 2003, in Wandsworth, London, which indeed makes him a Gemini. Not from an acting family, but just the son of Liz and James Partridge. She works in finance, he is a lawyer. Together with older sister Issie and younger sister Millie, they form a family of five.

Yet especially Issie has unexpectedly gained a fan club in recent weeks. On Olivia's new album, the singer refers quite unsubtly to her former sister-in-law. In u + me = <3 she sings:

I like your big sister
She has your same face
And I tried to win her
Over with my cynical humor and yacht rock music taste

Where do we know the British actor from?

Before he became the muse of one of the biggest pop stars in the world, Louis was mainly a boy who loved acting. At just eleven, he made his debut in the short film Beneath Water. He then followed with small roles in Pan (2015) and Paddington 2 (2017), but his daily life really changed when he was cast as Tewkesbury in Enola Holmes (2020).

On the day his classmates were stressing about an important exam, Louis received the life-changing phone call that the role was his. Not surprisingly, he was then preoccupied with something else and didn't do much for that test. That the role ultimately went to him was a good thing; he later said that during the audition rounds (two of which were with Millie Bobby Brown) he had become increasingly attached to Tewkesbury and when the news came, he was, in his own words, “so over the moon.”.

We then saw him again in Pistol (2022), where he played Sid Vicious, in Alfonso Cuarón's thriller series Disclaimer (2024) and again in House of Guinness (2025). There have also been rumors in recent months that Louis is on the list to become the youngest James Bond ever. His team and the actor himself have not revealed anything about that yet, but it certainly isn't bad for someone who just a few years ago was recording audition tapes between classes.

Prada’s sweetheart

That Louis is not camera-shy is something we no longer need to explain. But besides film cameras, he also feels right at home in front of a photo camera. The actor has grown into a favorite of the Italian fashion house Prada and is officially a Prada Ambassador. That's no surprise; the jawline and cheekbones that Louis walks around with are not something you encounter every day. But his interest in fashion seems genuine: in interviews, he has said that he loves fashion. He elaborates on this by saying that his style was influenced by skate culture for years. Brands like Palace and Polar were among his favorites.

Skaterboy with a guitar

As if he couldn't be any cooler, Louis spent his weekends primarily on a skateboard. In an interview, he reflected on the time when he hung out at Canada Water in London almost every weekend. Skating, shopping, and then skating again. He now wonders where he even found the time. Besides skateboarding, Louis has another hobby that surprisingly fits someone who plays the lead role in the romantic theories of the internet: music. The actor has been playing guitar for a few years now. When asked if he would ever want to play in a band, he didn't have to think long. “I’d love it,” he replied. According to Louis, that might be the only thing that's even cooler than acting.

A British actor with a thick accent who models for Prada, plays guitar, and spent his weekends on a skateboard? That sounds like quite a good muse. Something Olivia Rodrigo clearly agrees with.
