These are the cities, the flights, and the suitcases with which we dive into the rest of the World Cup
Orange is through!

Orange won last night in Kansas City 3-1 against Tunisia and advances from the group stage as number one. From now on, it's all about survival, so it's time to look beyond just the score. We mainly want to know when we need to be ready and whether we finally don't have to stuff matchsticks between our eyelids (good news: the further they go, the better the times) and oh, we're also curious about which locations will be played.

From Kansas City to Monterrey
The Dutch national team traveled from Schiphol to America with KLM at the beginning of June, in a Boeing 787 aptly named Orange Blossom. Since then, the squad has been in a base camp in Riverside, just outside Kansas City, from where the three group matches were completed. For the match against Morocco, the group will move across the border for the first time, to Monterrey in Mexico. Whether the Orange Blossom will be used again or if another charter is ready is usually announced by the KNVB only at the last moment.
Round of 16: Netherlands – Morocco
In the night from Monday, June 29 to Tuesday, June 30, at 03:00 Dutch time, Orange will play in Monterrey against Morocco. The city is located in the north of Mexico, surrounded by mountains, and is known for a surprisingly refined restaurant scene for those who look beyond the stadium. Not that our boys will have time for that, but still nice to casually mention during yet another drink break. Morocco impressively finished second in a strong group C, so this will not be a walk in the park.
Quarterfinal: off to Houston
If Orange wins, a match will follow on Saturday, July 4, at 19:00 Dutch time, in Houston. A city with a striking mix of space travel, international cuisine, and southern hospitality, and already somewhat familiar territory for Orange after the match against Sweden.
Quarterfinal: Miami calls
If the Netherlands survives that round, the quarterfinal in Miami is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, at 23:00 Dutch time. The most photogenic host city of the entire tournament, with Art Deco facades, palm trees along Ocean Drive, and a nightlife that is still enjoyable even after a lost match. So if the women travel along, they will have a good time during the off-peak hours.
Semifinal: back to Texas
If they win in the quarterfinal, the semifinal awaits on Tuesday, July 14, at 21:00 Dutch time, in Dallas, the city where the Dutch World Cup adventure once began against Japan. A nice round trip for those who love symbolism.
The final in New York
And if Orange survives that too, then on Sunday, July 19, at 21:00 Dutch time, it's time for the World Cup final in New York/New Jersey. A Sunday evening in the city that deserves a leading role itself, just in time to celebrate extensively afterward.

And the suitcases
There is no shortage of clothing, as Nike, as the kit sponsor, not only provides the jerseys but usually also the matching sports bags with which the squad travels from stadium to hotel. For moments off the field, the squad will wear a neat suit from Cavallaro Napoli this tournament, specially designed as the official World Cup travel outfit. So if you run into Virgil van Dijk at an airport in Mexico, he will be impeccably dressed, with or without a ball at his feet.
One match at a time, but the route, the suitcases, and the agenda are ready. Set the alarm for June 30, and let Orange do the rest.
