Want to have: these placemats from Kwantum are giving Pinterest board

That we are a fan of Kwantum's autumn collection, is no secret. We really want to have everything. But well, that collection is just not available yet... So in the meantime, our eye has fallen on something else that you can already grab. It's not a green light or nice dinnerware, but placemats. And not just boring, square things, but placemats with wavy edges in the most beautiful shade of brown that you see in every interior photo. Curious how they look? You can check them out here.

These placemats come straight from Pinterest

Anyone who regularly scrolls through my favorite app knows that organic shapes have long been indispensable. Mirrors are no longer perfectly straight but curved, rugs look like spilled puddles, and even side tables have lost their corners. Now the placemat is joining in. The Ivy placemats from Kwantum with wavy edges give the playful touch that your dining table needed. And for that price (€3.25 each), you can't just leave them behind?

They are available in two colors: chocolate brown or light beige. Especially the brown variant gives us total autumn vibes. It gives a somewhat retro and warm feeling that everyone online is trying to replicate. Even if you just set a simple white plate and a glass of red wine on it, it looks like the scene has been styled by an interior stylist.

How to style the placemats from Kwantum

Now I'm not an interior stylist like Roos from Kopen Zonder Kijken, but I am someone who has seen a lot of Pinterest interior photos. So I definitely have an opinion about your interior choices.

1. With everything on it

You can create a whole feast with these placemats. Combine them with beige dinnerware, linen napkins, and glasses in olive green or amber. Earth tones go very well with this, so that's something to keep in mind for the rest of the decoration. Think of dried flowers or candles, for example. Light the candles, turn off the lights, and you're ready for an elaborate dinner that no one needs to know comes from a takeout container.

2. Full of color

Now you don't have to go for just those earth tones. Brown works really well with pink, light blue, or butter yellow. Place a plate with a cheerful edge or a completely different color on top. Don't choose white napkins and make sure you have a base color. For example, keep your tablecloth blue, but choose white plates. The beige placemat can be combined with other colors, such as bright pink, cobalt blue, or deep orange.

3. Simple

Or you can just go easy, with just a placemat, a decorated plate, and your crystal champagne glasses. You don't always have to prepare a whole table full of candles, napkins, napkin rings, flowers, vases, and five forks. This placemat will add warmth to your table anyway, so you're already doing well.

However you want to style them, one thing is for sure: these placemats make even a weekday meal a lot cozier. In a while, you'll be sitting in your comfiest pajamas with a big pot of soup at the table and you'll be glad you already grabbed them. The Ivy placemats cost €3.25 each and are available in brown and beige. For that amount, you can definitely call yourself an interior stylist, right?
