You will see these boots everywhere this autumn

Autumn is just around the corner and you know what that means: these boots are made for walking (again). Yes; we are going to start the boot tour en masse again. Although these come back every year, word on the street is that slouchy boots are making a comeback. Or well, you might know them now by the name ‘slouchy boots’. We saw them last season and this season already on the catwalks at Louis Vuitton, Isabel Marant and Balmain, so it's not surprising that they are now flooding the stores. Curious how to style them and which are our favorites? Read on.
The old classic slouchy boot is back
Where of last year biker boots, cowboy boots, and over-the-knee boots were the most popular, but now it's the slouchy boot that claims the throne. And I understand why. Wherever you look, you see these boots, which look like they are going to slouch, making a comeback. Margot Robbie walking in them, Heidi Klum braves the rain in them and every store seems to have its own version. From the Primark to Nubikk: they are here to stay.
But hey: what if you don't want a high boot that resembles a soft cone about to collapse? Then you're in luck because there are plenty of shorter slouchy boots that are just high enough to hide your socks and don't come over your knees.
How to best style slouchy boots
1. With the pant legs tucked in
Whether you wear high or low boots, one way to make your look a lot more casual is to tuck your pant legs into the boot. Especially if you're wearing baggy pants, this gives you a low-key outfit that makes you the coolest girl in town. Last year, everyone was massively tucking skinny jeans into their boots. That can of course be done too.
2. Just rolled up
Is tucking your entire pant leg into the boot a bit too ‘out there’? Then you can choose to tuck your pants just a little bit into your boot. Loosely tuck the leg in and pull it up to make it bloom, so to speak. This way, your slouchy boot won't get hidden under your pants, without your pants sitting down to your ankles in the boot.
3. With a skirt or shorts
Even if you prefer to walk through autumn in short skirts, you can wear a slouchy boot. It's actually cool to wear a higher slouchy boot with such a short skirt (with tights, because hey: it's really cold). By wearing this combination with a large leather jacket, you get a feminine effect that will definitely turn heads.
These are our favorite slouchy boots
Now you know how we like to wear them, but how do you decide which boots to quickly grab before autumn really begins? That can be quite a task, so we have gathered our favorites for you:
