Rare Beauty is finally available in the Netherlands

The wait is over: starting today, Rare Beauty it is exclusively available in the Douglas stores in the Netherlands! Until now, you had to go to Sephora abroad for Selena Gomez's makeup line, but now you can simply buy it near you. It has been available for order on the Douglas website for a few weeks, but now you can finally test which blush, bronzer, or lip color suits you best in-store.
Selena Gomez launched Rare Beauty in 2020 with a focus on inclusion and a wide range of colors. The packaging is accessible, the caps are rounded so that people with limited hand mobility can easily open them. Selena got the idea from her own experiences with the autoimmune disease lupus. The brand is all about self-acceptance and embracing your ‘natural beauty.’.
Rare Beauty is also actively committed to mental health, with the Rare Impact Fund. They support organizations that provide mental health care and work to reduce the stigma surrounding it. The goal is to raise 100 million dollars for organizations dedicated to the mental health of young people.
Many products went completely viral on Instagram and TikTok shortly after launch. The most famous product is the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. I can say from experience that you only need to buy this product once, because mine is still not finished after years. The blush is so pigmented that you only need one tiny drop on your cheeks, and it stays on all day.
Another popular product is the Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter. When I wore this, I received multiple compliments and was asked which highlighter I was using. It is easy to blend, and you can apply it very lightly or build it up.
I mainly use the Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil as a lip stain. It provides a lot of pigment without drying out. Sometimes I apply it, let it soak in, and then dab the oil away, before applying lip liner or lipstick over it, and the color remains visible even after a dinner.
