STYLING | Mia Blue Dubois TEXT | May-Britt Mobach
If I have a favorite place, it is in Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris. In three hours you can be at Gare du Nord with the Thalys, and if you take metro 4 from there, you'll soon be enjoying a café crème at Café de Flore.
We celebrate the Parisienne for her style and class and want – at least I certainly do – to approach that with love. Because style, especially that of the Parisienne, is not for sale and cannot be captured in a tutorial, our styling intern Mia created this delightful mood board. Because even Parisian style has its nuances: in Saint-Germain, the Parisiennes look just a bit different than in the funkier Popincourt. What you wear there? Mia will tell you tomorrow. And you don't necessarily have to spend a three-digit number on your outfit, as you can see from this selection. Keep that money in your pocket for ‘un bis’ – in other words, another trip to Paris.

My favorite spots in Saint-Germain?
Ralph’s Restaurant, Boulevard Saint-Germain, Paris
On the small courtyard of the Ralph Lauren boutique sits this delightful little restaurant. Small, intimate, easy. Of course American, but sometimes you just crave that. And you get a stool for your bag.
Le Bon Marché
This tip comes from my fashion mom Peggy Weijergang. If she doesn't have much time, Le Bon Marché is definitely the best address. Especially the selection of shoes is a reason to go. Furthermore, you will find all brands under one roof, ranging from expensive to affordable. Take your time, because it is gigantic. Besides fashion, beauty, and interior, there is an amazing supermarket on the ground floor with truly everything in the realm of culinary indulgence. I usually buy my tea there in a beautiful black tin from Mariage Frères.
Le Bon Marché, 24 rue de Sèvres
Sant Ambroeus in Paris
And now: Sant Ambroeus is finally in Paris. A city where this restaurant belongs, if you ask me. And the location is perfectly chosen. On a corner – always extra cozy and inviting – on the left bank, because that stands for elegance, classic style, and a bit of tranquility. Where should you be? 11 rue Saint-Benoît, close to Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore. And with a bit of luck, you won't have any hysterical Emily in Paris-like pilgrims stealing your view.
One more tip: if you want to live like a Parisienne, it's the book by Renée Koudstaal a perfect purchase. She has lived in Paris for years and knows the nuances of the city.
With love,
May
