One checked shirt, four looks: these styling tricks you want to know

By
Collage of three looks with a brown checked shirt and blue jeans, styled with a belt or twisted fabric at the waist.

The checked shirt is back. With a bit of luck, you might have had it hanging in your closet all these years, and otherwise, you might already have your eye on a new one. From oversized models to the classic check: we see them popping up everywhere this autumn. And although such a blouse looks great with your favorite jeans, you can get so much more out of it with a few simple styling tricks.

Because why wear your shirt in the standard way when it can be just a little different? Asymmetrical, wrinkled, or with a beautifully created waist. And believe me: it doesn't have to be complicated at all.

One shirt, four completely different looks

All you need is a (checked) shirt, preferably one size oversized, a hair tie, and possibly a narrow belt. That’s it. Because with a bit of skill (you have it!) and a few clever styling tricks, you can create four totally different looks from one and the same shirt. From casually chic to a fashionable statement, without needing any extra clothing item.

And because some styling tricks are simply much easier to show than to explain, I’ve put together the four best ways for you in a video. So pull that checked cutie out of your closet and be sure to watch along. There’s a good chance you’ll never wear your shirt the same way again. And that everyone thinks you have something new on again. Whether that’s heading to the office or during a date night out.
