Autumn means: black, brown, beige, burgundy. You know the drill. But those who have already taken a look at the autumn/winter collections of 2026 know: this season we are doing it just a little differently. The runway was flooded with color. From bright red to sky blue and deep purple: autumn 2026 is going to be a lot more colorful than expected.
These are the three colors you want to have on your radar this fall.
1. Eggplant purple
For all my fellow burgundy lovers: this upcoming season we are going for a touch of purple. My personal favorite: eggplant. That deep, rich purple hue is just dark enough for autumn, but feels just a bit more exciting than brown or burgundy.
From royal purple on the catwalk to deep eggplant shades in stores: purple is going to play a serious role in our autumn wardrobe. Wear it ton-sur-ton for an ’always-good-look‘ or do as the fashion houses show us and combine it with red. A bit unexpected, quite fashionable, and just enough color to keep your autumn outfit interesting. Love this.
2. Bright blue
If I have to point out one color that you will really see everywhere this season, it is blue. And not the safe dark blue that we pull out of the closet every autumn, but rather bright shades like sky blue and electric blue.
From dresses (yes, they can be more again) to oversized knitwear and lots of coats: blue is meant to be seen. My favorite street looks? With even more blue. A bit of color blocking, but without it becoming too extreme. And if you want to keep it a bit calmer? Combine it with denim, white, or a nice camel shade. Easy, can't miss.
3. Tomato red
Love it or hate it, but red remains. Also for autumn 2026, red remains a favorite, especially very bright red. Think tomato red and scarlet red. Complete looks in red even appeared on the catwalk.
A red coat is of course a statement in itself, but you don't have to go all the way. A red bag, shoe, or scarf also scores high. And my favorite styling trick? Yes: again with eggplant. It may sound like you accidentally mixed two totally different trend colors, but this combination is one of the most striking color duos of the season. And... it's also a bit like killing two birds with one stone, right?
