Everybody knows: in the Netherlands, we never have to wait long for a rain shower. And although we prefer to go out every day with sunglasses on our noses, the reality is just a bit different. The most worn accessory of autumn? The umbrella. Not exactly the most fashionable accessory in our wardrobe, but definitely one that we will probably have a lot of fun with in the coming months.

Or is it fashionable after all?

Yes, it is. I really found a super cute styling trick that suddenly makes this rather practical item a lot more fun. Because let's be honest: a folded umbrella (in a not so matchy print with the rest of your outfit) that is also half hanging out of your bag is not exactly the look we want to go for, right? Fortunately, it can be done differently… And how, how, how…

From practical umbrella to fashionable bag accessory
Because why should you only decorate your bag with fluffy bears, lip gloss, logos, and charms when you can also carry your lifesaver of an umbrella in style? All you need is a small foldable umbrella and a nice scarf.

How to?

By rolling your umbrella in a scarf and then tying it around the handle of your bag, you create a sort of extra bag accessory in no time. A bit like tying a silk scarf, which we already loved, to your bag, but with a practical extra hidden inside. I think it's quite genius.
