the party you want to go to tonight

Two things you need to do today: 1. buy a ticket for A Mokum Halloween Story and 2. hit the city to score an outfit as soon as possible because the party is tonight. Ask me to name two holidays that would make me extremely happy and I say Thanksgiving and Halloween. Both anything but Dutch, but if you grow up in American schools, you get this from a young age. I always went trick or treating when I was little; either as a witch or as an Indian with my two older sisters where by the end of the day we had so much candy corn and Tootsie Pops (my favorite when I was young, but the devil if you ask the dentist) left over that we stayed sweet for months.

Well, I’m no longer small, but the love for Halloween has remained. And the best Halloween party? You’ll find it on Elementenstraat in Amsterdam. How I’m going to dress up? I would say: come too, come too! You’ll find out for yourself. So, see you tonight?
