PEGGY WEIJERGANG
What keeps you awake?
I'm quite into looking at the bright side of life, so I rarely or never lie awake - except for noise disturbances or jetlag.
Who can expect an approving nod from Peggy this summer?
Gianvito Rossi also designed the ultimate pump this summer: good heel, right height, perfect cut, and exactly the right toe. A pump as a pump should be. Sexy, feminine, and believe me: they are super comfortable. Hats off!!! (now available at Shoebaloo)
Which designer has given you a different perspective on fashion?
Isabel Marant designs fashion that seems natural. This is in contrast to many designers where the clothing dominates at the expense of someone's personality. I love that natural look.
With whom would you like to take a ussie?
Oh God, do I have to choose someone? Well, actually, I would love to do it with Obama - sorry, I really find him very handsome - but aloha, George Clooney is also nice. And actually, I would also like to be sandwiched between V&R in a very tight, serious selfie.
What is your latest purchase?
Very nice, a Marc Jacobs mini shoulder bag (model royal wallet) for all essentials (phone, keys, and credit cards).
And just now I ordered my favorite perfume Jean Louis Scherrer eau de parfum online at Douglas (not available in stores, hence).
What is your guilty pleasure?
The traveling judge and other neighbor and family disputes on TV. Delightful! Why? No idea... And “forgetting” to put on my bra.
What time does your alarm go off during the week and where?
The bell from my iPhone tries to wake me up at 8 o'clock during the week. Because I only think I have to do everything after midnight, I usually sleep until around 1 o'clock. 8 o'clock is always too early, and I definitely cheat three times 5 minutes so that I shower like crazy at 8:15 = including applying body lotion + 5 minutes, makeup = also + 5 minutes (according to Bobbi Brown's instructions), getting dressed (depending on what the program is) + 5 to 10 minutes, breakfast + 0 minutes (despite regular good intentions). Pretty fast, right?
Last clothing purchase?
I have some basics (like a camel V-neck sweater, black ballerinas, and of course jeans) that need to be refreshed annually. In this context, my top in Breton blue-white stripes from Le Petit Bateau is a not very exciting but useful last purchase.
Best quote from recent times?
“When in doubt, don't do it.” Really, if this is your mantra, it saves you oceans of time.
