Vacation is coming... and with it, the luxury problems of life arise. Like: where are we going for lunch? Do I need to reserve that one beach tent? And maybe the most important question of all: what goes in the suitcase? Because your vacation outfits need to meet quite a few requirements. They shouldn't take up too much space, shouldn't wrinkle, preferably be machine washable or hand washable, and of course, be nice. For a day at the beach, a walk through a village, a terrace, and a dinner in the evening. In short: from day to night without too much hassle. I selected seven items that I think belong in a vacation suitcase. These are my friends this summer. I am very curious which one is your favorite.

I am taking a little ‘love vacation’ with my dear beloved. Flootje doesn't want to go on vacation, Bel is in Albufeira, Igoné is at surf camp so we are taking advantage of it and going to Punto Arte, a music festival in Tuscany. Since we could, we booked a few days earlier and my love knows how to make me happy so we flew to Genoa to have lunch at Da I Gemelli (a handsome twin) who run two restaurants in Portofino together. And Portofino, that is just a sensation. Touristy, yes, cramped, too. But the beauty, the shops (there is a The Row boutique, two Dior boutiques, Loewe, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, and a great multibrand store Spinnaker) is all unprecedented. And it is still authentic with Italian older gentlemen who ferry guests through the bay in a rowing boat. Oh Italy, I do love you so. Next stop: Pietrasanta. I will keep you updated.
