SKINNY JUICES
Models and their mixes
If you are serious about training to achieve a model-body, then juices and shakes are a very important addition to your lifestyle. Not that difficult to do these days because they’re coming at us left, right and centre. You almost don’t cut the mustard without a green smoothie in your hand these days. And you’re even cooler if you take a pic and post it on Instagram, but that is another whole story. Today we are talking about juices and specifically the ones that models drink. They seem to work, so we want to know. Right?
Kyleigh is German and raised on loads of meat, cheese and fast-food. Still her favourite, but yeah, if you want to bring in the good campaigns you’ll need to drop the fast-food. So on to juices. Another good way to get all those veggies and fruits down you in one time. She’s not a huge fan of those. Luckily for her she has a great boyfriend who loves cooking and makes the most delicious smoothies for her.
Kyleigh’s Pineapple-Ginger-lemon juice
– Pineapple
– Lemon
– Ginger
– Sparkling water
Dump all the ingredients (except the sparkling water) into the juicer. Top it up with water afterwards.
Juliana orders a Power Green smoothie everyday, at her favourite juice bar ‘Fresh U’. Juliana says that she has noticed that her skin glows from it and that she sleeps better.
Juliana’s Super green smoothie
– Beetroot juice
– Cucumber
– A handful of Kale
– Apple juice
– Lemon juice
Everything in the blender and you’re done.
Drinks a smoothie every morning before her work out. She does not do this to lose weight (to keep trim I should think). It’s first and foremost an easy, nutritious and healthy breakfast. Also handy for on the way, in a cup with straw. Her favourite hotspot is Liquiteria (found on almost every street corner in New York).
Devon’s Berry Blend
– Mixed frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
– Low fat yoghurt
– Almond milk
– Spinach
– Chia seeds
All ingredients in the blender and mix away.
Tip: Keep a bag of frozen fruits in the freezer. You can keep them for a long time and they make any smoothie delicious.
Prefers making everything at home. Chia pudding, Acai bowl (yoghurt with acai powder and fruit, really hip shit in the US), smoothies. She puts ginger and cinnamon in everything. Her favourite.
Andreea’s Power protein smoothie
– Frozen almond milk
– Half a frozen banana
– Blueberries
– One tsp coconut oil
– One egg-white (or some protein powder)
– A drop of honey to taste
Put it all in a blender for a few minutes.
