6 reasons to love coconuts

I’ve written about my love for coconuts before. But when most people think of coconuts they picture themselves sipping the water out of the coconut itself with a straw. Like Bar Rafaeli and Doutzen are doing in the photo’s above. Anyone who has travelled to some exotic island or any place that has palm trees is guilty of taking a picture slurping one of these bad boys. And it’s one of those products that within a short period of time became a kitchen regular. Now I’m not saying you have to ditch the regular products you work with in the kitchen, like olive oil and almond milk, but I’ve got a list of pros for using coconuts.

Coconuts contain a ton of healthy fatty acids. And you need these if you want to obtain a bit of energy.

It’s great for your skin, hair, health and to obtain that killer body everyone secretly wants. It’s rich in fibers and it lowers your blood sugar levels leaving you with more of a satisfied feeling and less of a need to snack. It also stimulates your fat burning by the way.

– It’s easily digestable.

– Coconuts contains caprine acid which is beneficial if you’re dealing with any kind of fungus issue. Like Candida. Sounds a little terrifying, but it’s something a lot of people suffer from.

– And lastly, I haven’t even mentioned the flavor yet. Delish.

The only thing I can think of that’s a little disappointing is that anything coconut related is rather pricey. It’s more expensive than olive oil or butter. But I guess I can live with that.
