Happy and healthy hair

Just as we want to go through summer looking tight as a drum while keeping our feet smooth and shiny we also want great hair. Hair you can flutter and flirt with, not the kind of hair you need to hide under a sunhat because it looks like a bale of straw. Let’s make up a list of all the hair workouts just to make it a little easier to achieve.

1.

Dirty brushes

You don’t start painting on a dirty canvas do you? Right, just use a nice clean brush. Dust, hairs and hair products stay behind in the brush after use, leaving it there will just make things worse. Clean regularly and make a habit of buying a new one more often. Only then are you able to give your freshly washed coupe the attention it deserves.

2.

Daily washing

You really don’t need to wash your hair every day. It won’t get any cleaner and besides it’s not very healthy for your hair. Use hair perfume as an alternative (addictive!) or a dry shampoo to hold out for a few days.

 

3.

Sleeping with wet hair

Wet hair is very vulnerable and can damage easily. So don’t sleep with wet hair as you can bet you move your head a lot and that movement will be caught in your hair. This causes hair to break more easily and it can even start feeling rougher.

4.

The dry rub

It might take a little longer but you should be dabbing your hair dry. Rubbing away at it with a towel damages the hair. Look at the previous item; wet hair is sensitive. Gently wring out most of the water and carefully start dabbing.

5.

Brushing too hard

If you have the problem of tangly or clingy hair use a spray first. It doesn’t work immediately as it has to be absorbed by your hair. So don’t start brushing right away this won’t make you happy (read: pain!) nor your hair as it will get a beating.
