Jump your way through vacay

It’s up to you if you decide not to do anything sporty when you’re on vacation. It’s more than logical. Swimming a few laps in the pool or that stroll to that fun bar can be a straining effort, you might think, also very acceptable. Now I wouldn’t be Jet if I didn’t take my Nikes to Italy with me. But I’m just as much Jet for only wearing them three times in three weeks. So true. Knowing I have them with me is nice enough. But to be fair those kilos of arrabiata pasta I’m about to dissolve probably taste better after a run in the morning. The great thing about vacations is that you never seem to have a hangover (at least I don’t), not even after 2 liters of scroppino, so I easily run about three kilometers or so. Or am I the only (nut) who enjoys this?

What you could do, it’s not as much of a hassle or as time consuming (I’m absolutely not trying to get you to work out during your vacation, ahum) is bring a jump rope. You won’t need running shoes or a workout outfit, you can even do it in your bikini. If you’re boobies don’t object that is.

Let’s say you’re going on vacation for 2 weeks, then I have a nice looking little schedule for you. It won’t take you any longer than 15 minutes of every vacation day. Look, I’m not saying you’ll get a killer body all of a sudden but you bet your body will enjoy this.  And seriously having an affogato (espresso with vanilla ice cream) every night will go totally unnoticed. I promise you.

WEEK 1:

30 seconds jumping

30 seconds rest

30 seconds jumping

30 seconds rest

Repeat these sets 10 times, that will take you about 10 minutes in total. Peanuts right?

Week 2:

50 seconds jumping

30 seconds rest

50 seconds jumping

30 seconds rest

Repeat these sets 10 times, that will take you a total of 15 minutes. There you go, buon appetito!

You can do your own thing of course just don’t go at it too long all at once, it will only give you muscle strains. Build it up evenly and drink lots of water afterwards. And while you’re at it finish off with ten minutes of laps in the pool. #proud
