As already mentioned, the Award Season has officially opened in Hollywood and we here at Amayzine are all over it. The Golden Globes stole the show this weekend, but the observant watcher would also have spotted a rather special debutante being crowned. Namely in the very first ceremony of the World Dog Awards.
With categories like ‘Most Pawpular’, ‘Hot Dog’ and ‘America’s Top Mutt’, this show tickled the fantasy of every dog lover out there. The whole zoo, many of whom were dressed in tuxedos or couture dresses, made their appearance on a green grass catwalk and posed for the ‘Puparazzi’.
Four-footers known for their acting skills (Lassie), Instagram accounts (Boo) or famous owners (Prince Hilton the Pom) were put in the spotlight during a fabulous show, which was lovingly attended by dog lovers like Ian Somerhalder, Lance Bass, Nikki Reed and Paris Hilton. There was an After-Party where the stars of the evening and their owners could live it up to tunes by the tough French Bulldog behind the decks.
The good news is that this wonderful madness was actually a crazy way to drum up money and attention for various animal rights organisations and charities for abandoned animals. They haven’t totally lost it over there in Hollywood it seems.

Viervoeters bekend door hun acteerprestaties (Lassie), Instagramaccounts (Boo) of beroemde baasjes (Prince Hilton the Pom) werden in het zonnetje gezet tijdens een spetterende show waar dog lovers als Ian Somerhalder, Lance Bass, Nikki Reed en Paris Hilton met liefde voor uitkwamen. Achteraf was er een afterparty waar de sterren van de avond en hun baasjes zich nog konden uitleven op de deuntjes van de stoere Franse bulldog achter de draaitafel.
Het goede nieuws is dat deze heerlijke gekheid een ludieke manier was om geld en aandacht te vragen voor verschillende dierenrechtenorganisaties en goede doelen ten bate van achtergestelde beestjes. Ze zijn nog net niet helemaal crazy geworden daar in Hollywood.
