9 HABITS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPIER AND HEALTHIER

It’s all about the small things in life that we tend to forget about. And we forget about ourselves in the process, because everyone is busy with their jobs and those around them. Sometimes you need to learn to take it easy. You took it all a little too far, you’re tired and you’ve realized you’ve started being a little crabby to those around you. What you want to do is be one step ahead of that situation. It’s difficult, I know, but here are a couple of habits you should introduce into your life to become happier and healthier. Bye bye crabby stressed out you, hello happy and healthy!

1. Make sure you plan in the occasional night on your own at home. Turn on your favorite music, buy a pile of magazines or read a book and turn off your phone. Let’s say: at least one hour a week.

2. Focus on one thing at a time. Make a to-do list and work through it systematically.

3. Don’t panic when you can’t finish something on time. There’s nothing you’re going to be able to do about it. And… there are worse things in the world.

4. Believe in yourself. Sounds like a cliché and it is, but it is important to remember and that your body achieves what you mind believes.

5. Take a course in mindfulness.

6. Work out at least once a week.

7. Do the least amount of work as you can in the evening. Shut your laptop and try to relax. Leave the hard work for during the day.

8. Call your friends instead of always talking to them on WhatsApp. Or even better: meet up with them. Even if it’s just for a cup of coffee.

9. Treat yourself to a bouquet of fresh flowers.
