onions, kale and garlic

These ingredients are great for your skin

We spend so much time smearing on different products and creams to make sure we have soft and radiant skin. But, all products run out eventually. Usually when you haven’t had time to purchase new products yet. Luckily, there’s another room in your home that’s got products that will be your savior. Your kitchen. And believe me, these three things are going to give you the best hair and help in making all those unwanted blemishes disappear. And they don’t come out of bottles.

Garlic to get rid of pimples

Probably doesn’t sound like the most appealing product to use, but according to dermatologist Dr. Amy Wechsler, garlic is full of allicin which helps dry things out. Now I know you normally want to avoid dry skin, but when it comes to blemishes and pimples, we’ll welcome this solution wholeheartedly. Cut off a slice of a garlic clove and rub it on your pimple and it’ll disappear. I’m sure the garlic scent is worth it right?

Onions to help your hair grow

We’re all hopelessly trying to grow out our eyebrows and sometimes it feels like an eternity before they finally obtain the length you want. According to beauty blogger Farah Dhukai, your kitchen has just the right product to help you out. Cut an onion into small pieces and smear it onto your eyebrows. Do it carefully though because you really want the juice of the onion to be soaked up by your eyebrows. Apparently the juice helps stimulate your hair growth. I’m purposely using the world ‘apparently’ because I have yet to try this out.

Kale

We’ve already discovered kale as a superfood, but I never knew it would be such a great beauty product too. Kale is full of vitamins, amongst other things, and it helps clear your pores and gets rid of dark circles around your eyes. Oh, and it helps avoid the aging (read: wrinkles) process too. Or slow it down at least. So just incase you plan on making a healthy juice tomorrow morning, save some kale for your face too.
