The best colors for your lips
STRATEGY IS KEY
If you are lipstick devotee, then you need to read this. We’ve covered what the shape of your lipstick means but I recently stumbled upon some research regarding the color and when you should wear what. You need to pick out your colors strategically to make sure you achieve what it is you want to achieve at specific moments.
The job interview
Wear a light purple. Sounds like an exciting color, but it’s not too bold that it’s going to come off as a huge pop in your face type of color. That’s something you’re going to want to avoid during a job interview anyway. Purple exudes creativity and it’ll make you look more stimulating.
The presentation
Opt for pink. Pink is a social color and you’ll have everyone hanging on every word you say.
The first date
Nude colors are the way to go. I mean, you could opt for a red but that might be a but too much on a first date. Nude colors are trustworthy and if the date goes as planned, you don’t want your red lipstick smeared all over his lips.
The salary negotiation
Red is always associated with sensation, passion and energy. So when you find something exciting, or you’re just extremely nervous, go for red. It exudes confidence. You know what you want and you’re going to get it.
Meeting the in-laws
Like I said before, pink is a social color. The brighter the color, the more likable you’ll be. Think of it as a way to break the ice when you’re with a group of people.
Date nights with girl friends
Burgundy is another one of those exciting colors. But: not as bold as a red. It means you’re not a wall flower, you’re useful and very neat.
The family gatherings
Coral is a light and fresh color which will give you a fresh appearance. You’ll look enthusiastic and spontaneous. A great color to use when you’re not feeling too well but want to look like you’re doing alright.
