TRULY GLAMOUR

This afternoon I was at the book presentation of the book Anti Glamour by Carice van Houten and Halina Reijn.
Carice, in a very tight leather pencil skirt (size 0) and a beautiful black silk blouse with a gold embellished collar. Halina wore a long black dress with spaghetti straps and quite a lot of open back. I tried to catch her on some fashion tape or a glued chicken fillet, but no, really, she had nothing underneath. Wow!

The presentation was at Buffet van Odette. A nice lunch spot on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. They served omelet with truffle and exclusively gin tonic. With a slice of cucumber, that at least. Their favorite.

But well, now about the book. It's called Anti Glamour. I open it and I immediately have to laugh. It doesn't matter if you start at the beginning or if you ‘quickly’ read a piece in the middle. Beauty secrets, tongue kisses, the perfect man, favorite music, underwear, food, orgasm, insecurities and feeling lonely in a million dollar hotel room. Everything is discussed. But you can also read about nice hotels where you can quietly drink a glass of wine with a new flame without it immediately being in the magazines. And let me just say that Carice is very good at that. It's a book by two best friends who tell how their life really looks. And that life is not necessarily full of glitter. Carice and Halina, just like ordinary women, sometimes have to go to a gynecologist, struggle with too much hair, and really do look up to someone else sometimes. I really want to know all of this from them because they are, both, for me, so incredibly glamour.

And now I want to go to that nice hotel, with this book, another gin tonic and...
