5 yoga exercises for the face
No wrinkles, a lifting effect, and a more beautiful color
We understand that you need to start slowly on Mondays, so nothing is better than a moment of zen. It's also not bad if it helps to lift the face a bit, improve skin tone, and reduce wrinkles. And all that by massaging your face for a few minutes a day. We immediately put our fresh intern Maud to work (this is how we initiate our new interns, right into the photo) to test the exercises and “they really work, I feel it immediately!”
The exercises work on the different layers of skin, where blood circulation will improve, oxygen is stimulated in the skin, and it also reaches the cells. The result is a clear skin with a healthy glow. Look, that's what we want. Once you have the right technique, they will also stimulate collagen production. This will lead to tighter skin. Those creams can now be taken out of the cupboard because they will work much better on such skin. You will still need them for a while, because after 4 months of facial yoga, you will really start to see results.
Exercise 1
To lift drooping eyelids and reduce bags under the eyes.
How-To? Place both middle fingers between your eyebrows. Place your index finger at the end of your eyebrows. Then move your index finger upwards, creating that lifting effect. Tense your face at the same time and then relax. Repeat this several times.
Exercise 2
To prevent a sagging chin and reduce lines around your mouth.
How-To? Make an ‘O’ shape with your mouth. Smile very wide but keep your teeth hidden. Repeat this several times. Hold the smile, and place your index finger on your chin. Tilt your head slightly back and move your chin up and down with your index finger. Repeat this exercise about 10 times for the best result.
Exercise 3
To combat lines on the forehead. No more Botox needed.
How-To? Place both hands on your forehead with your palms facing inward. Spread all fingers between your eyebrows and hairline. Then move your fingers towards each other.
Exercise 4
Good for bags and deep-set eyes and very nice to give your eyebrows a lifting effect.
How to? Place your index finger under each eye, pointing towards the nose. Hide your teeth with your lips and tense everything well. Then look up with your eyes and tense that as well. Hold it for 30 seconds and then relax again. If you do this 4 times and repeat it every day, you will see that it starts to work.
Exercise 5
Say goodbye to the sagging neck. It will no longer reveal your age .
How to? Make the neck long and tense it. Place your fingers at the bottom of your neck and make upward movements. First look forward, then back, and then back again. This way you alternate and relax everything.
