 Absolutely for the cool crowd

Vodka is drunk by the cool crowd. Not so crazy because it has a. the least calories (so model drink), b. the least hangover (so drink on).

I mix it with Spa Red and on a wilder day I drink it on the rocks with a slice of lemon. Absolut is a favorite of the vips because it is the largest vodka producer that has been producing its secret vodka recipe since 1879, and that's a long time.

The coolest club in party history is of course Studio 54. I've only heard about it but I would definitely trade a bag to sit at the bar there for an evening. A little watching Mick Jagger, Andy Warhol, and more avant-garde types from New York in the ’70s and ’80s.

Andy Warhol didn't drink himself but was crazy about the bottle and used Absolut as perfume. He poured the Absolut bottle into a work of art. Andy is no longer alive but the Andy Warhol Foundation carries on his signature and has now redesigned the Absolut bottle in the style and spirit of Warhol. It is beautiful and, even better, it is for sale. It can also shine on your bar (if you have one, of course) and when the bottle is empty, you can use it as a vase or candlestick.

Of course, the launch of the bottle called for a party. And to show that we really have a Studio 54-worthy party scene, it happened. A party, a book (think coffee table with portraits of the Dutch avant-garde, inspired by the style of Ron Galella, the house photographer of Studio 54) and lots of hip people like Valentijn de Hingh and Ted Langenbach.

Do you know what else is really fun? That a part of the proceeds goes to the Andy Warhol Foundation, which gives new, young Andy Warhols subsidies to create art.

I would say; buy that bottle and drink to Andy. For €18.99 it’s yours.
