Yoklan Yentl is one of the owners and creators of the brand Yentl Oil. She suffered from a huge problem skin and a bottle of pure argan oil, which friend and companion Adil brought from Morocco, solved everything. Problem gone. New brand born. That the problem skin is gone is clear, because Yoklan is really beautiful. That's why I also asked her about the rest of her beauty rituals. Here’s the report.

Morning ritual

“I have a lovely Moroccan bathroom, with a cement-like atmosphere and two luxury shower heads. Because of that, the shower is my favorite place in the house. When I wake up in the morning, I step right under it. I don't wash my hair every day, because often it looks better on the second day and it's so long that it's not feasible to wash it daily, but when I do wash it, I use the natural hair care from Original & Mineral, available at Skins Cosmetics. I always wash my face with products from Vichy. I developed Yentl Oil because I always had such problem skin myself, but Vichy is also lovely without its additives. Twice a week I use the Facepeeling from Yentl Oil, a coconut scrub with argan oil. I scrub my body with a Moroccan product, a kind of green clay that is also used in a hammam. Every morning and evening I apply pure argan oil from Yentl Oil to my hands and cuticles, because it keeps them soft and cared for. I also apply it to my shins, because it's quite nice after applying. For daily care, I always start with the facial serum from Yentl Oil, because I have very dry skin and it works anti-aging. Well, I'm 27 and I have to start counteracting that now. Now I really look like a huge girly girl, but it's just routine, I'm really not spending a lot of time on it.”

5 minutes make-up

“I don't wear much makeup at all, so it can be done in five minutes. I have deep-set eyes, so I don't do my eyes too heavily because of the shadows. As a base, I use foundation from Ellis Faas, to cover the dark circles under my eyes. With a blush from CHANEL , I powder some color on my cheeks, and with the eyebrow kit from Anastasia, I touch up my eyebrows a bit. On my eyes, I use eyeshadow in powder colors from the palette of Make-up, an American brand. They are all nude colors, from soft pink to brown, and only available in America. So if you ever know someone who is visiting abroad? I use mascara from Blinc. It stays on all day, even in the rain, but if it gets above a certain temperature, you can wash it off easily. So you don't need cotton pads and you won't step out of the shower with panda eyes.”

Eyebrows or lashes

“I find eyebrows absolutely very important. I always have my brows done by Jackelin Frank in The Hague. A luxury salon, but she is so good. I naturally have thick and full eyebrows, but I always plucked them just wrong. And now Jackelin does them and I have a beautiful shape that I actually don't have to do anything to. If I have a party, I do powder them a bit, brush them into the right shape and apply highlights under my eyebrow.”

Favorite perfume

“That is definitely the perfume from Narcisco Rodriguez. It has a bit more musk in it and is very soft. I always apply the body lotion from Narciso to my arms and neck in the morning, because it smells so nice. I often carry the scent in my bag, because at some point it naturally fades. Then I spray a bit and immediately have a fresh scent again. In the summer, I only wear the body lotion, that's already enough, and a scent is not good to wear on the skin. Narcisco Rodriguez is really my signature perfume.’

Red carpet essential

“What I find very important is that my hair looks good and is not greasy. I sometimes find it such a shame to see in other people. In addition, I find well-groomed nails very important. I have them done every two weeks with Gellac. I think women should have fresh nails. Whether it's natural or not, I find it very important.”

Nail polish

“At the moment I am wearing black nail polish, which is really very outgoing for me. Usually, I stick to the natural palette of powder pink and salmon colors. Now in winter, I find aubergine/purple very beautiful with white hands. I consciously choose not to go for glitter, because I prefer classic and calm nails. I don't have a fixed color, but that's just fun to change often. I often get compliments about my nails because they are so beautifully polished and the color is very special. Because it's gellac, it has a huge shine that lasts for two weeks. Very classy.”

Best purchase

“This sounds like a sales pitch, but it isn't. I am actually very happy that I Yentl Oil have developed. It has made my skin very calm. We have been working on it for just over two years, with the first year only focused on developing the skincare. I wanted a product that was produced as honestly and naturally as possible, with the ingredient argan oil. Argan oil is such a beautiful product and it calms the skin very well. A lot of fake oil is sold, which is such a shame, because it has no effect at all. I really mean it, we have been in the laboratory for so long and I am not going to make my life's work somewhere if I am not convinced of it.”

Never leave home without

“I always have a blush in my bag, because I tend to look quite pale quickly. That is also due to those deep eyes. And I always have a lip gloss from Clarins in my bag; Eclat Minute. They come in three colors, but I have them all. I have about twenty bags and in each bag, there is at least one of those glosses. In addition, I always have a little tester with Narciso Rodriguez in it. Nice to always carry with me, then you always smell fresh.”

Nicky or Liz

“Yesterday, Nicky was of course crowned Holland's Next Topmodel. Rightly so, a beautiful and good choice. We chose Liz as the face for Yentl Oil in the program. We were really hesitating between Nicky and Liz. Nicky has very beautiful, light eyes, but also freckles and a fringe. For Yentl Oil, we find a very natural beauty beautiful and Liz has a beautiful jawline, blue eyes, and strong cheekbones. That look fits so well with our brand.
