Alexa Chung rocks, or hula hoops, the braids

When I Alexa Chung this week hoop hoop on Instagram when I saw her, I was quite happy for a moment. Yes really, because besides the fact that hooping is the most fun thing there is, she had of course perfectly matched her outfit to the ‘sport’, including a perfect straight part and two braids.

Now those two braids may look quite simple and girly, but hey, we're talking about Alexa Chung here. Those two braids are not just school braids, this is a trend. Marc Jacobs, Givenchy and Guy Laroche also showed on the catwalk that it's quite cool, but now that Alexa Chung is wearing it, the two braids are definitely übercool.

If you want to wear this look in the same je-ne-sais-pas style as Alexa, then grab all the texture products you have in the cupboard. A bit beachy and nicely loosely braided is the way to wear it. Strands can fall out and it doesn't have to be perfect. Just like you've been hooping for an hour. But you can definitely achieve that with some good products.
