IF YOUR HAIR IS JUST RIGHT

Last Friday, the models of Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy walked the runway during the Fall 2014 men's show in Paris. Tisci and thus Givenchy have perhaps recently been in the news mainly due to the -sometimes- remarkable outfits he stitched together for Kim Kardashian, but on Friday he showed that he can also produce very un-Kimish fashion. As a child, Tisci loved basketball and the show took place on a -you guessed it- basketball court, with neon-lit lines. Then the clothing. The previous women's collection brought major hits like the sweater with the Rottweiler and Bambi print, the men's collection now was less easy to copy (thank god) but just as recognizable. Loose pants with a casual fall, long blazers with painted colorful prints, and many graphic areas at the pockets. The models‘ hair was slicked back tightly and wrapped in a net along with their faces. And who was backstage working hard to comb all that hair and pack it into a net? Our ’own' Rachel Geerman from salon The Building AMS. Rachel gave May-Britt a Jackie hairdo during our Jackie week and editor Josselin got a charming Christmas haircut from Rachel's hand. And now she is just standing there cutting at Givenchy – you understand, we are very proud. So cheers, to Ricardo Tisci but also and especially, to Rachel. What about blue Monday!
