There she writes about lifestyle, fashion, and of course beauty, her passion. Jamie Li has shared before her weekend tips, but now she takes us into her beauty rituals and makeup must-haves. Because let's be honest, we want to know that from her, right? 

Morning ritual

“My morning starts with a nice warm shower. Under the shower, I work with a cleansing gel for the face from La Roche-Posay. I apply this with an electronic cleansing brush for the face from Clarisonic. I'm (still) not a fan of rich creams, so I prefer to apply a moisturizer to my face. Currently, I'm using the Moist from Sensai as a day cream, but I also want to try the moisturizing cream from Vichy, Aqualia Thermal. Nice and light on my skin! After that, a short makeup ritual follows.”

Beauty Issue

“You never have to ask me to create a smokey eye. I can't do it, and it doesn't suit me. I've tried it many times myself or had others try it. Whoever tries it, from top makeup artists to myself: no one can create a beautiful smokey eye for me. It clearly lies with me (my eyes).”

5 minutes make-up

“I can't live without my fluid foundation from Sensai. This is truly a showstopper. Not too covering, not too light, and spreads just as easily as the average moisturizer. Moreover, you don't turn into a shiny disco ball, which is very nice. Additionally, I can't do without my concealer from MAC and the Touche Eclat from Yves Saint Laurent. This power duo ensures that no one knows how tired this mother really is. Going to bed every day at 1 AM and getting up at half past five thanks to a babbling little boy of 10 months, doesn't help with the bags and dark circles around the eyes. Furthermore, I am a true blush fanatic. The Luminous Doll in peach from Pupa is my favorite. My lips always stay blank.’

Eyebrows or lashes

“I think it's important that women don't make their eyebrows too thin. A narrow line in the shape of a failed comma quickly gives a trashy look. A ‘done’ eyebrow is much prettier and more important than a statement eyelash. It can really make or break your face. A well-groomed eyebrow gives an open look.”

Million Dollar Tip

“Chanel, Le Volume mascara. Thirty-two euros, I know, it's a bit much, but there's no better. It lengthens, separates, and doesn't clump. The mascara is worth every one of those thirty-two euros!”

Favorite perfume

“A mix of Jo Malone’s Nutmeg & Ginger and Pomegranate Noir. Nice and spicy, yet soft.”

Best Beauty Buy

“Everyone should definitely invest in a scented candle from Diptyque, preferably the Patchouli variant. It smells so nice in our house. Besides the lovely scent, it's also a visually pleasing candle to look at. Furthermore, I believe every woman should invest in the perfect lipstick. Take your time, find the color that suits you, and never let it go. For me, it has become a fantastic trio. Fusion Pink from Mac, Nude Vanille from Tom Ford, and Rose Tropicale from Yves Saint Laurent. But not every day, mind you. Only for the days when I feel like a spicy color on my lips.”

Never leave home without

“My Tweezerman, otherwise I’ll turn into a gorilla or grizzly bear in no time. Oh, and my Touche Eclat of course! And, can my blush come too? Please?!”

“Both the braid trend and the beach waves trend should not be missed this summer. Both looks match perfectly with sunkissed skin!”
