Stephanie Litjens is the co-founder of SOAP together with her sister Esther Meijer Treatment Store. The salon where you can get your nails done, visit the brow bar, or nowadays also stop by the DOCTORS AT SOAP. It is certainly popular, as you are blessed if you manage to secure a spot in the schedule. Today, Stephanie shares her beauty tips and tricks with us.
Morning ritual
“I often switch products, try basically everything, and love to make combinations. At the moment, I am using the exfoliating polish from OBAGI and the hydrating booster from Dermalogica for my face. What I never change is the Multivitamin Power Firm from Dermalogica for my eyes. I use the Moroccan rose otto sugar body polish from REN: a lovely body scrub that leaves a cared-for layer. For my legs, I use pure shea butter from Stella Maris. The application does take a bit longer (because you have to let the butter melt in your hands), but it gives a super result. This one is scentless, so I spray a touch of Eau Egyptienne from Cinq Mondes over it afterwards.”
5 minutes make-up
“When I do a quick touch-up makeup, Neutralizer Blue from FACE Stockholm works wonders. The tired eyes immediately look less so. Then a bit of blush powder and light lip balm.”
Eyebrows or lashes
“It’s truly incredible what we can change about a face with the right brows. Without exaggerating: people walk out of here on a pink happy cloud after a good brow treatment. Almost life-changing! If you have beautiful brows that suit your face, the rest of your makeup is almost secondary.”
Favorite perfume
“34 from Dyptique. So Delicious!”
Summer essentials in Soap Treatment Store
“You understand that our pedi chairs are working overtime in the summer. But I really think The Functional Facial is also a summer essential. This facial includes an effective deep cleansing so your skin looks very clean and smooth when the sun shines on it. And your eyebrows are done in detail. And if you have a hair here and there, those are also removed. Top!”
Red carpet essential
“At a red carpet event, you just have to pull out all the stops. I would go for a combo of a Multi Functional Facial, a Feet Spoiled, spray tan, and a Color Gel for the hands. In a red carpet situation, I would definitely go for matching nail polish.”
Doctors at Soap
“Natural beauty is certainly good, but DOCTORS AT SOAP is an addition. A very good one even. We heard from our clients that they wanted more, and there was a lot of interest in botox and fillers. We wanted to provide a solution for this. We were critical, because over-botoxed faces are oh so ugly. That’s why we developed the No Trace Face with DOCTORS AT SOAP, which includes several techniques and a treatment method that ensures you get a beautifully natural result. We are very happy with it and proud of the results.”
Best purchase
“I was pleasantly surprised by the balm from Dr PAWPAW. A balm and a small tube that you can use for dry cuticles, lips, as a glow on your eyes, dry spots, hand cream, etc. A multi-tasker that really works. Super nice.”
Never leave home without
“I must honestly say that I take a complete toiletry bag with me every day. It always contains brow powder and brow gel from Anastasia.”
