Bar Spek is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I have written about it once in Jet’s Places. The restaurant is located in the Baarsjes among a few other nice dining spots like Spijkervet, Fier, and Louter. A neighborhood I like to visit. Last year I also worked there for a while, but then Amayzine came my way. Now I like to visit often as a guest and that is at least fun.

Today the sun is shining brightly, so I really feel like settling down on the terrace of Bar Spek. The restaurant is along a busy road, so there is plenty to look at. By the way, I hope there is still a spot available, because I am not the only one who likes to go there. You can enjoy a very good Aperol Spritz (also nice with this weather) or a perfect bloody mary. Tonight I am really looking forward to an Original gin, a cocktail from Finland. Very simple, but oh so delicious. The can contains a mix of grapefruit juice, Spa red, and gin. That goes into a glass with lots of ice, mint, and lemon. Now that I think about it, my mouth is watering. Maybe I will also order a small pizza with it. With truffle. Oh no shit, destination killerbody has started. Lies, can you forget it for one time?
