Happy new hair
I am quite a bit lazy in the morning when it comes to getting myself ready. I just do whatever. Just give me someone who styles my hair every day and my eyelashes are colored well and so on. It's a bit diva behavior, I know.
So I prefer not to do too much to my hair in the morning. Yesterday I was at Beauty by Roos to walk out the door with a fuller mane. I'm now sitting at my desk with a huge ponytail that I've always wanted to have. I've had a ‘mat’ braided into my hair before, beautiful, but somehow I couldn't maintain it well. Always tangled and then you would see that thing again.
Roos was going to help me get diva hair, as long as I would give it attention. And I promised that.
How does it work?
Hairloxx are small strands of hair that are wrapped around your own strands with sound waves. Sounds a bit complicated, but it's a very nice, harmless way of applying extensions and you don't have one long row of (fake) hair (which you usually have with a ‘mat’), but it's more spread out and the nice thing is also (this gives the man a very big pleasure): you feel it much less when you run your hands through your hair.
Weird beep
Because I recently dyed my hair and it's a (nice) mess of different shades of blonde, I got three types of colors. Strand by strand I gave to be put in my hair. With a little device that emits sound waves, it is attached to my own hair. I had to get used to it for a moment because the stream also goes through your ears. A bit of a strange feeling and sound, but not unpleasant or anything.
Omg super much hair
I didn't necessarily want longer hair, but mainly a fuller mane, so I got 75 extra strands. If you really want an extension, you get 125 so it looks very natural. I think I sat in the chair for an hour and a half. You really have to take the time for it, but luckily I had a very nice hairdresser with whom I could chat. After everything was in, it was cut to my own length.
Aftercare
Look, I'm really happy with my new haircut, but I'm expected to take good care of it. Brush it every day (you can buy a special brush for €14, so I did that right away of course) and you can't use all the shampoos you want. If there are fruit acids in them, it can cause your strands to fall out. So don't do that. Check at home if those ingredients are in there and otherwise the hairdresser also has a suitable shampoo. You understand, I bought that right away too.
Just to be sure.
Challenge
These strands last about a maximum of 3 months and then they need renewal. The better you take care of it, the longer it stays in, but that's logical.
How much does it cost?
It obviously depends on what you want; a bigger mane or hair extension. You should think about between €200 or €300 euros. Indeed, it's not cheap, but I find it the nicest and least harmful way of hair extensions. You can also choose subscriptions, which is a bit cheaper. Well, if you go we might be able to go together, because it's quite a long sit and then we can chat nicely.
