I think autumn is my favorite month. You're still a bit tanned from the summer, you can still sometimes wear a skirt skirt, your in-between jacket can come out of the closet and sitting on a terrace with a blanket is so romantic. Summer is sometimes too hot, winter too cold, in spring you still have those huge milk bottles and you're definitely not summerproof. You know how it is. Autumn it is. Now that season in the Netherlands can sometimes be very unpredictable. Two weeks ago, I arrived at the office soaked for three days in a row and the day before yesterday I was cycling again with bare legs. High time to book a trip to a city where you are sure to have a lovely autumn temperature. Not too cold, not too warm, no wind. Just right. I will take you to four cities for a weekend getaway with guaranteed lovely autumn weather.

Hotel Vincci la Rábida. is clean, comfortable, and has a beautiful courtyard where you can have breakfast. At Taberna Sol y Sombra you have the tastiest tapas in the city. Many locals come there (I always think that's good news), wooden chairs and tables, and the hams hang from the ceiling. Great for lunch and dinner. Crisp clear air, you might need to wear a scarf, but no mittens.

Stockholm

Hotel Freys. is in a perfect location right in the center in a side street of a major shopping street. You can also eat the best mussels ever there. The Independente. 

Lisbon

In I once stayed with six girlfriends. We shared a dorm with bunk beds, but of course, you also have rooms for 2 people. Very large ones even. Many young people stay there, as it is also not very expensive, but very clean and just the luxury you need. Downstairs is a restaurant and a bar that is packed every evening. My favorite restaurant is.

Ponto Final . Very simple, not luxurious at all, but the tastiest fish you have ever eaten. You have to take a small ferry across the Tagus (which is already very nice).
