What would we do without Leco? Yesterday, the top makeup artist presented his new tools and beauty products at Westerliefde in Westerpark, and everything I saw I wanted to have immediately. Luckily, he also gave a little lesson here and there, because there’s no way I know how and for what you should use all those items. To be honest, I would prefer to start every morning in his chair, but a makeup artist at home is something that I think only Kim Kardashian has.

Upon entering, I was welcomed by three charming boys who were ready with a healthy smoothie. I had actually just had one for breakfast, but oh well, how could I resist such handsome guys? There were only thirty invitees, so hooray, I was part of a select group. Okay, to be fair, May Britt was still in Milan for Fashion Week, so I got to go in her place, but still. Those thirty consisted of Leco’s favorite women: Angela Groothuizen, Monique des Bouvrie, Monique Smit, Quinty Trustfull. Our Ready Steady Style friend Fred van Leer was there too, who is also a kind of favorite woman, right? By the way, I missed Leontien and Chantal. Would Leco also give a presentation for extra-extra-vips? Leco explained his new products step by step. I was immediately hanging on his lips. Nice new soft brushes and three base essentials: for your lips, eyes and lashes. Perfect items that you apply under your makeup to look even better. And your makeup stays on longer because of that. Some testers were passed around, so we could immediately feel, smell, and taste. All products are paraben-free and odorless, only the lip balm has a little fragrance.

After the presentation, we were given glasses of bubbles. “All those smoothies are great, but just give me a glass of alcohol, right?” said Leco. After that, we were also treated to a healthy lunch and, lucky me, with a bag full of nice tools and products. Sorry May, but you really missed something.
