Despite the fact that I am of course a radiant and sunny person, I have my irritations. Sometimes. Almost never you know, but still. Here at the editorial office, I have that reputation too and it was quite a mystery to everyone how it could be that I really got emotional when seeing this video, but as I said, I am actually a very peaceful person. Anyway, those irritations are definitely there and as a form of therapy, I like to write those kinds of things off my chest and tough luck for you that writing is my job because then you have to read it. Mandatory, and I will quiz you. Enjoy the next things that caught my attention last week.
North, the 16-month-old daughter of Kim and Kanye, has recently gotten her own stylist. Because K&K want their baby to always look good when photographers are lurking, and in North's case, that is of course quite often. A source tells British Grazia that her clothing combinations are discussed during regular meetings and that there is always an effort to make North's and Kim's looks as similar as possible. Guys, North is, as mentioned, 16 months. SIXTEEN MONTHS. Not 16 years, sixteen months. The world has gone insane.
And for quite a while too. No idea how that can be, and usually, I am better informed, but I didn't know that he is totally committed to Tara Elders. Last week we were a bit swooning over Michiel versus Chanel and I shouted something about moving to LA to camp out in front of his house, turns out he is damn well off the market. I can really get quite grumpy about that.
Puss Puss Magazine is a fashion magazine about cats. That’s right, a magazine with the look and feel of something like Vogue and Harper’s but then entirely about cats. About cats!!! “You will find no naff cat outfits or cat food advice, instead, beautiful photography, intelligent writing, interviews, and more by established as well as up-and-coming creatives from around the globe.” Anyone who pays a little attention knows that I might actually love cats more than shoes so how could I not have come up with this concept. Damn.
She was said to be pregnant and that’s why the wedding had to happen so quickly, roared many American gossip magazines. But a very different theory is that George wants to run for the American presidency and then having a woman like Amal by your side is quite a handy move. But guys, guys, guys can we not just believe that these two are very much in love and want to stay together forever and that’s why they got married?! (See, my soul is really not as dark as you think).
He won the first edition of The Voice in 2011 and that is indeed quite an achievement, but not much has come of him. A deal with Holland Casino on the left and a not-so-successful little album on the right was about it. Furthermore, there were all kinds of brothers and a rather remarkable father who made a reality series somewhat entertaining, but come on, that Ben Saunders really can't do much. What he does is a trick and you get that trick after three times and then it’s deadly boring. Moreover, he possesses so little intellect that I wonder if he could even count the tattoos on his own body. This week he was in the news because his relationship (which lasted three months) is over but WHO CARES we don’t care and I really get super annoyed by this guy.
Because then the first Dutch store of & Other Stories will open in Amsterdam and that is really one of my favorite stores. This week the invitations landed on the mat and I am looking forward to the opening and the scandalous shopping sessions that will follow.
