Claire Timmermans has been a co-owner of her own PR agency since January Iconic Studios. With this, she takes care of the PR for cool brands like BLK DNM, Won Hundred, ByDanie, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ready to Fish. You would say she is busy, but besides running this empire, she can also regularly be found behind the turntables and has a little daughter at home. A new (own) business should be celebrated, preferably with a bag, one that fits a laptop. But of course, there are more gems in her closet...

Tell me, how many bags do you have?

“I think I have about six, but I don’t use them all. Many are also a bit smaller and more for the evening. Four years ago, I received a Chanel 2.55 from all my friends. I have worn it so much and even a bit worn out that I put it away in the closet for a while. I like the idea of giving it to my daughter later, so I have to be very careful with it from now on.’

So you don’t neatly place the bag on a chair when you get home?

“Absolutely not. I also easily take a nice bag with me when I have to DJ. I just throw it under the DJ booth. I spend many times cleaning beer stains, and I don’t have a special place where I store them neatly. If I ever get a walk-in closet, I want to hang them up carefully, but for now, I hide them in a closet.”

And how about the contents? Do you stuff your bag full?

“I don’t feel like carrying a lot, so I want everything in one bag. Today, I happen to not have much in it, but when I go out with my child, I sometimes stuff in three diapers and baby wipes, well then it can bulge a bit. In terms of clutter, it’s manageable. I don’t need to declutter every now and then; I’m quite organized.‘

What do you always have with you?

“Wherever I go, I always have my laptop with me. For the rest, I have recently become completely addicted to the day cream and serum from Yentl. I apply it every morning and at the end of the afternoon, when I have to go to an event, I apply it again. Really a pick-me-up.”

And you probably have a bag on your wishlist?

“I would really like to have a red bag because red is my favorite color. From Céline, for example, or Chanel. But I’ll wait a little longer for that.”
