Ask a makeup artist or beauty editor what they always have in their bag, and the answer will be nine times out of ten that it is the Eight Hour Cream by Elizabeth Arden. A cult product by now. It has won more than 20 international awards for a reason.
How it became a classic and grew into such an amazing product? I will tell you. The cream was developed in 1930 by, of course, Elizabeth Arden. She wanted a product that would give you a soft, shiny skin. A lady applied it to her child's scraped knee, and within eight hours it was healed. Wound gone. Hence the name. Eight Hour Cream.
Due to the combination of various ingredients, including Vitamin E, the skin heals very quickly. Very nice for dry lips, small wounds, or other ailments. Nowadays, it is still used for countless other things, such as combing your eyebrows into a nice shape, frizzy hair, as a highlighter on the cheekbones, or as a shine on the eyes.
So we can say it is a miracle cream. Penelope Cruz swears by it, but also our own Céline Purcell and Charlotte ten Brink don't leave the house without it. You see, it is just a standard item in your beauty kit. Not addicted yet? You know what you need to do.
